Scripture Thought Of The Day – July 04, 2017

“But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark– you and your sons and your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.”

– Genesis 6:18 (New American Standard Bible (©1995))

Notice that the covenant or agreement was between God and Noah.  As a result not only was Noah saved but his whole family was saved all because of Noah’s faith.  God loves to save entire families…don’t give up on them coming to the Lord one day!

Scripture Thought Of The Day – July 03, 2017

The Lord is near the broken-hearted; He is the Saviour of those whose spirits are crushed down.

– Psalm 34:18 (Bible in Basic English)

When we go through an emotionally difficult time know that God is right there with you.  He was as human as you and I and understands what we go through.  Call on Him and He will carry you through the rough times.

Scripture Thought Of The Day – July 02, 2017

However, the Lord stood by me and gave me strength so that I could finish spreading the Good News for all the nations to hear. I was snatched out of a lion’s mouth.

– 2 Timothy 4:17 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))

Don’t fear to spread the gospel when Jesus is at your side!  He will protect you!

Scripture Thought Of The Day – July 01, 2017

But God has given us the revelation of these things through his Spirit, for the Spirit makes search into all things, even the deep things of God.

– 1 Corinthians 2:10 (Bible in Basic English)

The Holy Spirit whom Jesus left to us in His place on earth, is the key to finding out all you need to know about and from God.  And since He is God Himself, He knows everything.  Don’t ignore Him!  He’s our most valuable resource!

Scripture Thought Of The Day – June 27, 2017

“You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill.”

– Matthew 5:14 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))

Notice that Jesus isn’t emphasizing that “He” is the light of the world (which He also is) but He is saying YOU are the light.  His light should be beaming out of you.  We aren’t to try to hide our faith.  It should be plainly seen by all those around us.

Scripture Thought Of The Day – June 25, 2017

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

– 2 Timothy 1:7 (American King James Version)

If you constantly feel fear attacking your mind, know that it comes not from God but from our enemy.  Give all your worries to Jesus and He will give you peace that no psychiatrist nor drug can give!

Scripture Thought Of The Day – June 22, 2017

And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

– Jeremiah 24:7 (Webster’s Bible Translation)

God doesn’t want us to know Him from afar off.  He wants You to seek Him with all that’s within you.  Don’t bother seeking things of this world that are temporary when the Eternal God waiting to talk to you.

Scripture Thought Of The Day – June 20, 2017

Let us look closely at our ways and examine them and then return to the LORD.  Let us raise our hearts and hands to God in heaven.

– Lamentations 3:40-41 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))

Take time every day to look at your life and see how you could have done better.  Don’t just keep making the same mistakes over and over.  Reach out to God and ask Him to make you more like Him.

Scripture Thought Of The Day – June 19, 2017

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

– 1 John 5:3 (New American Standard Bible (©1995))

God doesn’t give us commandments because He loves telling us what we cannot to.  No, He knows what is best for us like any good parent strives to do.  He is trying to protect you from messing up your life!
