“You are light for the world. A city cannot be hidden when it is located on a hill.”

Notice that Jesus isn’t emphasizing that “He” is the light of the world (which He also is) but He is saying YOU are the light.  His light should be beaming out of you.  We aren’t to try to hide our faith.  It should be plainly seen by all those around us.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

If you constantly feel fear attacking your mind, know that it comes not from God but from our enemy.  Give all your worries to Jesus and He will give you peace that no psychiatrist nor drug can give!

Because this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide.

God is always there to lead you in the way you should go…if you will listen.

And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return to me with their whole heart.

God doesn’t want us to know Him from afar off.  He wants You to seek Him with all that’s within you.  Don’t bother seeking things of this world that are temporary when the Eternal God waiting to talk to you.

Let us look closely at our ways and examine them and then return to the LORD.  Let us raise our hearts and hands to God in heaven.

Take time every day to look at your life and see how you could have done better.  Don’t just keep making the same mistakes over and over.  Reach out to God and ask Him to make you more like Him.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.

God doesn’t give us commandments because He loves telling us what we cannot to.  No, He knows what is best for us like any good parent strives to do.  He is trying to protect you from messing up your life!

Because you are God’s children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into us to call out, “Abba! Father!”

The devil makes many people believe the miraculous power comes from a man.  It’s doesn’t.  It comes directly from God.  Stop seeking man’s touch and reach out to Jesus Himself.

Many people followed him, and he cured all of them.

If we are going to do greater works than Jesus, and He said He would, then I’m looking for the day when every person in a church service will get healed.  Not some but ALL!

For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin

When you feel like you just can’t take it anymore, think about all that Jesus suffered for us knowing that He didn’t have to go through any of it.
