God loved you BEFORE you did ANYTHING for Him. Get the idea out of your head that you can make Him MORE pleased with you by doing good works. You SHOULD of course do good works (duh!) but you do it out of gratefulness and because it’s the new person He made you. You don’t do it to gain His favor because YOU ALREADY HAVE HIS FAVOR!!!
