You know what you get when you teach people a false prosperity gospel? A bunch of disappointed atheists. Every person in the Bible INCLUDING JESUS went through suffering. Don’t teach people that giving your life to Jesus means everything in life will come up roses from now on. That’s a lie. In life there’s ups and downs, new life and death, good times and bad. The difference between a believer and non-believer is that we have faith that God will empower us to get through the rough times. We don’t need to lean on alcohol, sex or drugs to get us through another day. We know that this life is temporary but one day we will wave goodbye to all the suffering and pain and live in eternal joy and peace with Him. This is the hope we look forward to.
