Even though the LORD is high above, He sees humble people [close up], and He recognizes arrogant people from a distance.
– Psalm 138:6 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))
God’s presence rests most with those who remain humble.

Stiving to get closer to Jesus every day and sharing what I learn.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, lie, and say all kinds of evil things about you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad because you have a great reward in heaven! The prophets who lived before you were persecuted in these ways.
– Matthew 5:11-12 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))
If you are truly a child of God you WILL have people say bad things about you. They did it to Jesus too and He was sinless.

You will be the LORD’s holy people, as He promised you with an oath. He will do this if you obey the commands of the LORD your God and follow His directions. Then all the people in the world will see that you are the LORD’s people, and they will be afraid of you.
Deuteronomy 28:9-10 (GOD’S WORD® Translation (©1995))
People can tell you are a believer not because you say so but by how you live.

Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household. Remember to include the Levites and the foreigners living among you in the celebration.
– Deuteronomy 26:11 (New Living Translation (©2007))
When you really stop and think about all the good things God has given us, it makes you want to have a party!
